Install ChessUrge on Windows, macOS, Linux or Android. Full-screen, offline shell, automatic updates. Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Samsung Internet.

Windows UCI engine

A native engine that speaks UCI to ChessBase, Arena, CuteChess or Nibbler, streams infinite analysis until you press stop, and shows the remaining balance every second.

Download Windows engine Includes ChessUrgeEngine.exe, engine.json example and README. ChessBase: put engine.json next to the exe, then add ChessUrgeEngine.exe as a UCI engine. If Windows Defender flags the unsigned build, use the Python fallback or build from source.

Android APK

A signed WebView build with the same board, analysis and puzzles. The PWA remains the best option for automatic updates.
